* Uppercase Chinese numerals for amounts must be written in standard regular script or running script, using easily recognizable and hard-to-alter characters such as 壹、贰、叁、肆、伍、陆、柒、捌、玖、拾、佰、仟、万、亿、圆 (元)、角、分、零、整 (正), etc.
* Do not substitute with characters such as 一、二（两）、三、四、五、六、七、八、九、十、念、毛、另 (or ０), etc., and do not arbitrarily invent or use simplified characters.

* If the uppercase amount is exact to the yuan or jiao, the character “整” or “正” should be written after “元” or “角”; if the uppercase amount includes fen, do not write “整” after the character “分”. If the uppercase amount does not already show the words “人民币” beforehand, the three characters “人民币” must be added, and there must be no space between “人民币” and the amount.

* When there is a “０” in the middle of the Arabic numerals, the uppercase Chinese amount must include the character “零”; for example, ＄１０１．５０ should be written as 人民币壹佰零壹圆伍角整. When several consecutive “０” appear in the Arabic numerals, you may write only one “零” in the uppercase Chinese amount; for example, ￥１，００４．５６ should be written as 人民币壹仟零肆圆伍角陆分. If the yuan place is “０”, or there are consecutive “０” with the yuan place also “０” but the jiao place is not “０”, the uppercase Chinese amount may either include one “零” or omit “零”; for example, ＄１，３２０．５６ may be written as 人民币壹仟叁佰贰拾圆零伍角陆分, or 人民币壹仟叁佰贰拾圆伍角陆分. Similarly, ＄１，０００．５６ may be written as 人民币壹仟圆零伍角陆分, or 人民币壹仟圆伍角陆分.
